Center Overview
Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders is the largest private practice Neurology group in North Texas established in 1978 and now offers comprehensive Neuroscience services to a large area in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Our practice encompasses both in-hospital and office-based Neurologists. The practice now treats patients with neurological diseases out of 11 offices in the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma and at 15 hospitals spread throughout the region. Since 1978 we have serviced close to 500,000 patients. Approximately 33k patients were serviced by TIND in the last year both at their office locations (20K) and Hospitals (13K).

Facility Description

Investigator Experience
Bharathy Sundaram, MD Easwar Sundaram Jr. MD FAAN
TIND Research is led by two board certified neurologist physicians who have been in practice for over 30 years. All are well respected within the medical community as clinicians and researchers.
Dr. Bharathy Sundaram is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and specializes in Deep Brain Disorders, epilepsy, migraines, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neurology, Parkinson’s disease, spasticity, and VNS. She also serves as the Clinical Director and a principal investigator for TIND Research while also managing a busy practice. Dr. Bharathy Sundaram has been conducting clinical trials since 2010.
Dr. Easwar Sundaram, Jr. is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He serves as President of TIND while also seeing patients throughout the practice. He has also served as a sub Investigator since 2014. His areas of expertise include all general neurology, MS, diagnosis and treatment of all types of dementias and is specifically interested in the caregiver aspects of overall care. He is currently the Medical Director of Stroke services at Baylor Medical Center at McKinney and Medical Center of McKinney, HCA. He believes in the education of patients as an integral part of overall patient care and treating one patient at a time.

Laurie Jarvis
Clinical Research Coordinator
10 years Clinical Research experience.
Laurie Jarvis began her career at TIND in 2002. Over the years she has worked in numerous roles, but for the past 8 years has had a sole focus on clinical research. Until recently, she was the sole clinical research support staff for the research department at TIND and worked alongside Dr. Bharathy Sundaram to grow the research department. She has experience with Phase III and IV trials and has recently started working on Phase II trials. She has experience in Multiple Sclerosis trials, but over the past five years expanded into trials for Migraines, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer trials. She works out of the Sherman, Texas location and works under Dr. Bharathy Sundaram for all her clinical trials. Margie A. Urbina, BS, BMS, CCRA
Clinical Research Coordinator
26 years of Clinical Research experience
Margie Urbina began her research career at Tufts New England Medical Center in 1996. Since then, she has worked with many outstanding institutions including Cordis Cardiology, Johnson and Johnson, Baylor University Medical Center, RPS, and Arlington Cancer Center in a variety of research projects and roles including pharmaceutical, medical device, and government contracts. She earned a BS in Biotechnology from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and a BMS from the University of Texas El Paso in Chemistry, Biology and General Science. She has been at TIND since 2021 at the Arlington, TX location. She is responsible for assisting all TIND physicians who are interested in participating in clinical trials in the McKinney, Frisco, Plano, and Arlington, TX locations.
