eResearchTechnology (ERT), a global technology-driven provider of medical devices to bio-pharmaceutical organizations and a provider for centralized cardiac safety and respiratory services in drug development, has appointed Jeffrey S. Litwin, M.D. as its new president and chief executive officer and as a member of the board.

Litwin joined ERT in 2000 as senior vice president and chief medical officer and was promoted in 2005 to executive vice president and CMO.  Litwin helped to implement EXPERT, ERT's digital operating system as well. Prior to ERT, Litwin served as deputy medical director of Nutri/System and as executive vice president and COO of Executive Health Group.
