Biomedical Research Alliance of New York (BRANY) has added a biotechnology expert to its board of directors. Robert L. Van Nostrand has extensive experience in biotechnology finance, including roles as as executive vice president and chief financial officer at OSI Pharmaceuticals, Aureon Biosciences and AGI Dermatics. He has also served as chairman of the New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA) on which he remains an active board member.

Van Nostrand also serves on the boards of Achillion Pharmaceuticals and Metabolix, and had served on the board of Apex Bioventures.

The Biomedical Research Alliance of New York is a national organization providing support services to sponsors and investigators involved in research.
